About Us

Established in 1956 as Gan Eng Seng Government Chinese Middle School in Anson Road (near the present-day Tanjong Pagar MRT Station), the school was renamed as Thomson Government Chinese Middle School in 1958.

The school has undergone numerous relocations throughout its history before being located at its present campus at 11 Rivervale Link, in Sengkang New Town, and renamed as North Vista Secondary School. The present campus is an award-winning building, having won the DesignShare Citation Award in 2001. The campus sits on a land area of about 230 000 square feet, flanked by 3 roads, namely Punggol Road, Sengkang East Avenue and Rivervale Link.

North Vista today offers a comprehensive all-rounded education programme, offering the Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) courses at the secondary level of education. These academic courses that lead up the the GCE 'N' and 'O' Levels are complemented by numerous co-curricular programmes to nurture fine ladies and true gentlemen with a global outlook.

North Vista's constant strive and vision for excellence is seen from the numerous awards it bags each year. A detailed list of the school's achievements can be found in the corresponding link on the left.
